Homemade Skin Toner Recipes to Get Fresh and Natural Glow

For different types of skin, skin toner is very helpful and effective. Skin toner is very essential for each and every person as it help you to improve the blood circulation of the surface of the skin and also provides glow which is associated with good health. Skin toner can be easily prepared at home. A good skin toner is the juice of tomato.

It is a fact that no toner, fresheners and astringents are able to close the pores. None of the cosmetic products has the feature to alter the actual size of the pores. After using these cosmetic products, we can experience a mild irritation of the skin. Due to this there occurs swelling in the skin and the pores appear less prominent.

Toning of the skin can be easily and effectively done with the help of homemade toner. Different types of skin require different treatment of skin toner.

Skin toner for normal skin

Rose Water Toner – For normal skin there is an effective toner which is known as rose water toner. For this toner, you can use half a tbsp of alum and 50 gm of rose water and also 100 gms of glycerin. Mix all these ingredients and store it in a refrigerator before using it.

Cucumber toner – For normal skin it is a refreshing toner. You can chop fresh cucumber in small size and liquidize it with half a cup of yoghurt. Apply this mixture on your face for 5-10 minutes and wash it off. Remaining mixture you can store in refrigerator for future use.

Skin toner for dry skin

Mint toner – For dry skin mint toner is very effective. Take two handfuls of mint leaves and boil it in 100 gms of water. Dilute this mint extract in water. You can take two drops of it in a cup of distilled water and add half teaspoons of alum in it. Apply this toner with cotton wool. This toner is quite refreshing.

Skin toner for oily skin

Alcohol and alum toner – For its preparation take one tsp of alcohol, 100 gms of distilled water in addition to half tsp of alum. Prepare a toning solution by mixing these ingredients. You can store this mixture for a longer time in a refrigerator.

Honey and egg toner – Whisk one egg until it thickens, add and whisk one tsp of honey. In this mixture finally add 1 tsp of lemon juice. Apply this toner to your face.
